Leeds plan to make signings in January as they look to improve their squad for the second half of the Premier League season. Defense is an area that could be addressed, which is why targets have been set by the club’s sports department.
Daniel Farke’s move to the 3-5-2 system has been very effective, with positive results against Chelsea, Liverpool and Crystal Palace. The decision to play an additional center back means an improvement in depth would be welcome at that position, and one option being considered is El Chadaille Bitshiabu.

According to TEAMtalk (via Leeds United News), Leeds have set their sights on signing Bitshiabu, who looks set to be allowed to leave Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig when the transfer window opens next week.
Bitshiabu has struggled to make his presence known this season, making just five appearances in all competitions. RB Leipzig is not counting on him immediately, which is why Leeds could have an entry.
Leeds don’t have many left-footed defenders, with only Pascal Struijk and Gabriel Gudmundsson as options Farke uses regularly. It makes perfect sense to introduce competition for the second half of the season, and that’s exactly what Bitshiabu would provide.
It remains to be seen whether Leeds can strike a deal with RB Leipzig for Bitshiabu. A permanent deal would be unlikely, but the possibility of loaning him out is one chance Elland Road officials could have over the coming weeks.
