Samsung has removed the packaging from its CES 2026 audio range. While an update to its high-end soundbar, the new HW-Q990H was expected, but the LS50H Wi-Fi speaker was a surprise. Here’s what we know.
The LS70H is a 3.1.1 channel space speaker.
The company has launched two new Wi-Fi speakers, the Music Studio 5 (LS50H) and the Music Studio 7 (LS70H), of which the greatest offer Dolby Atmos compatibility. Both sport distinctive looks from designer Erwan Bouroullec.
The LS70H is a 3.1.1 channel spatial audio speaker that can work as a standalone speaker or pair with compatible Samsung Wi-Fi speakers, soundbars or TVs. It offers up to 24-bit/96kHz audio processing and Bluetooth connectivity. The smaller LS50H has a 4-inch speaker and two tweeters.
Meanwhile, the HW-Q990H is an 11.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos soundbar, which includes surround and a dual 8-inch wireless subwoofer. The soundbar introduces several new features, including Sound Elevation, which elevates dialog toward the center of the screen, and Auto Volume, which allows for constant volume across all channels.
The HW-QS90H model is a single speaker soundbar with 7.1.2 channels. It includes built-in subwoofers and sports a Convertible Fit design with a built-in gyro sensor, which adapts the sound signature based on the orientation of the wall mount or AV rack.
The soundbars follow the announcement of the new Micro-RGB TVs and will be followed by many other products at CES. I reviewed several high-end soundbars from Samsung, each designed to Samsung Audio Lab – and expect the Q990H to sound pretty good. The Wi-Fi speakers are also intriguing. I kind of want this Music Studio 5 (LS50H), just to look at it.
Availability of speakers and soundbars is not yet announced.
