Current WWE Megastar Refuses To Sign AEW World Title Offered By Fan

A WWE megastar was offered an AEW title signing at an event. However, much to his dismay, the superstar refused to do so.

The star in question, who is one of the most renowned professional wrestlers of all time, is AJ Styles. He became an icon in the wrestling business through his tenure in companies like TNA, NJPW, and other independent promotions. In 2016, he made his WWE debut and has remained a cornerstone for them ever since. Additionally, Styles also announced that he will finish his illustrious career with the Stamford-based promotion in 2026.

The current half of the World Tag Team Champions were part of a Holiday Tour live event that took place recently in Tampa, Florida. He and his partner, Dragon Lee, defeated The New Day and The War Raiders. After the match, Styles was waving to the crowd outside the ring when a fan asked him to sign his AEW World Championship replica belt.

The Phenomenal One paid tribute to his true friends and current AEW stars, Matthew and Nicholas Jackson. While he showed love and appreciation to the fans, Styles refused to sign the title due to his allegiance to World Wrestling Entertainment.

Nick, Matt, I love you… But I can’t sign this.”

A WWE Veteran Gave His View On AJ Styles’ Career

As mentioned, AJ Styles is expected to end his professional wrestling career in 2026. However, wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell believed that wrestlers don’t retire, which could lead to WWE brings him back for an additional appearance, citing the example of Brock Lesnar, who also called himself retired at one point and then returned to the ring.

“Look, you’re not retiring from wrestling. That’s just not the case.” He continued: “I think there will come a time, say a year, where they’ll come to him, ‘AJ, I had this idea, I know you’re going to tell me it’s stupid, but I had this idea where you get back in the ring, I want you to do it.’ And of course he’ll say, “No, no. I stopped, I don’t want to do it. And they tell him, now they’re getting him excited about what they told him. And of course, he’s a corporate guy. He wants it to work, and yes, he will. And Brock is the same thing. »

As 2026 approaches, it remains to be seen what AJ Styles’ final year in the global juggernaut will look like.
