Myanmar goes to the polls in first elections since military seized power

Voters will go to the polls on Sunday for heavily restricted elections in Myanmar, which activists, Western diplomats and the UN’s top rights chief have all condemned. The Southeast Asian country is torn apart by civil war and residents will not be able to vote in areas controlled by rebel factions.
