The British Treasury will cover the Bayeux Tapestry for an amount estimated at 917 million euros

France is preparing to transport the historic Bayeux Tapestry to England this summer. But concerns remain over whether the transfer of the precious item will be secure enough, particularly in the wake of the infamous Louvre heist. The Bayeux Tapestry should benefit from compensation from the British Treasury of around 800 million pounds (917 million euros) when it is loaned to the British Museum in 2026, reports the Financial Times.
