According to a latest report from Times of India, Iyer is all set to return for the ODI series against New Zealand, if there are no late warning signs.

The three-match ODI series between India and New Zealand will be played on January 11, 14 and 18 in Vadodara, Rajkot and Indore.

Shreyas Iyer is currently at the BCCI Center of Excellence in Bengaluru and will stay there till December 30. After this, he will join the Mumbai Vijay Hazare Trophy team in Jaipur on January 2 for the matches on January 3 and 6.

“We are hearing positive developments around Shreyas. He will most likely play two matches for Mumbai on January 3 and 6. The final calendar it will depend on clearance from the CoE, but the signs are positive for playing these games in Jaipur. He is hitting the nets well and there is no discomfort,” said an MCA official privy to the development.
