All-Star third baseman Alex Bregman remains unsigned in free agency despite interest from multiple teams this offseason. The Detroit Tigers are among the teams interested in Bregman.
Bregman, who was one of the biggest free agents on the market last offseason, reportedly turned down a six-year, $171.5 million contract offer from the Tigers to sign a three-year contract with the Tigers. Boston Red Sox.
Bregman opted out of his contract with the Red Sox to test free agency for a second straight season in search of a long-term deal. Although the Tigers have expressed interest in Bregman, he is “lukewarm,” according to Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press.
