Kate Hudson revealed that her kids think she’s a “cool” mom, and her teenage son’s friends in particular have made her house the ultimate hangout.
The actress, who starred alongside Hugh Jackman in the new biopic “Song Sung Blue,” she said talking about the film made her feel emotional, adding that her entire family were “screamers.”
Kate Hudson and Jackman previously said that shooting the film felt like “a wedding,” even though the shoot was quite short.

Hudson spoke about the dynamics of her relationships with her children and how it seemingly affects their standing among their peers.
The 46-year-old actress, who is currently promoting her new movie “Song Sung Blue,” appeared in an interview with Fox News Digital alongside her co-star in the film, Hugh Jackman, and revealed that her son Bingham “Bing” Bellamy’s friends love to hang out at her house.
Jackman asked her if she thought her kids thought she was cool, to which she replied, “I think my kids think I’m cool.”
“I feel like they’re going to kill me for saying this, but, like Bing, my 14-year-old son, and it’s like the hard age, you know, they all come to our house. They like being at our house. It’s a good sign if they want to come hang out with you,” Hudson said.

Hudson went on to note that her teenage son’s friends not only come over but also love to come down to the kitchen to chat with her.
“If they want to come hang out with you, then you know. Bing’s friends will come in the morning and sit with me and chat with me while I make them breakfast and everything. I think they like me,” she said.
The “Bride Wars” actress shares her three children with three different men: son Ryder with ex-husband Chris Robinson, son Bingham with ex-fiance Matt Bellamy and daughter Rani with fiancé Danny Fujikawa.

Elsewhere in her chat with the outlet, Hudson revealed that her sons loved to make fun of her and keep her down to earth, especially her eldest son, Ryder.
“Oh, it’s so funny. I mean, it’s always your kids that keep you grounded. I mean, no matter what you do, you know? You could be on a billboard. Your kids are always the ones telling you, you know, how they feel, right? I love it,” she said.
The “Almost Famous” actress then added that she encourages them to “speak their minds” and feel “super grounded.”
“I love my domestic life. I’m a homebody. I love being at home. It’s my happy place with my family,” she said.

“I love it when they come out and make fun of me and start making fun of me. Ryder is really good at it now that he’s an adult. He loves picking on me,” Hudson added.

At the first Newport Beach TV Fest, Hudson explained that her “priority” was raising her blended family to be “one unit,” noting that she had to make “a conscious decision” not to be away from her children for too long.
“I have three kids and three different dads, and they’re all on tour. I made a very conscious decision to do things that didn’t take me away from my kids for too long, as well as trying to branch out,” she explained. People Magazine.
Hudson continued, “I like to take the long view and do different things, so for me it felt like I wasn’t getting the roles that I wanted to play. The ones that I was doing, I was making tough decisions, and if that took me away for too long, I just couldn’t do it because I had to be with my kids, and I wanted to make sure that I was the center of my kids’ universe and that we had one unit.”
The “Shell” actress added that this includes her “going to my exes’ tours and being very consciously disassociated from everyone, and so that was my priority.”

When talking about her new film with Jackman, the actress said that talking about it always gets her into her feelings, while she went further to share that everyone in her family is “screamers.”
“I cry every day because every time Hugh and I start talking about the movie, we get really emotional,” she said. People.
Hudson continued: “I cry very easily. I cry easily. …I could look at an Instagram and start [crying]. Especially [posts] kids who say something profound will make me cry. »
“I think I probably cry at least once every two days,” she added. “Crying is always a good thing. It really is.”

Hudson noted that her mother, Goldie Hawn, and brother Oliver Hudson were more emotional than she was.
“We are all mourners,” she added. “Our whole family, everyone except maybe Dad [Kurt Russell] and Wyatt. We’re pretty emotional.”
In the film, Hudson plays Claire, who teams up with Sardinia, played by Jackman, to form their tribute band Lightning & Thunder in the late ’80s.
Their characters’ relationship began professionally and quickly turned romantic, as the two shared how filming made them feel like they were “married.”
