Chinese military warns ‘separatist forces’, ‘external interference’ in Taiwan

China has launched maritime and air military exercises around Taiwan, which it claims as its own. Annoyed by the United States sending weapons to the island nation and Japan saying it would intervene in the event of an invasion, Japan calls its war games a warning against what it calls separatist forces and outside interference. These exercises are the sixth carried out in the vicinity of Taiwan since 2022, reinforcing fears of an invasion in the coming years.
