Erling Haaland required stitches to his face after a freak accident while on international duty with Norway.
The Manchester City striker, 24, scored the only goal in Norway’s 1-0 win over Finland on Thursday and now prepares to face Moldova in their final World Cup qualifier. But he will do so with a new battle scar after hitting a bus door.
Haaland revealed the incident on Snapchat, sharing a photo of a cut under her lip with the caption: “Just got hit by a bus door. Three stitches.”
Norwegian point of sale VG reported that he was struck by a luggage door while exiting the team bus, although the injury was not considered serious.

Never one to miss a joke, Haaland asked fans “only bad answers” about how this happened. When it was suggested that teammate Martin Ødegaard was responsible, the striker replied: “Correct.” He then joked that the cut “looked good.”
Norway is striving to qualify for its first World Cup since 1998, and with four wins in four games – plus four goals in four from Haaland – they appear to be on the right track.
And if the team’s star forward can survive a bus gate, there’s a good chance he can handle whatever the defenders try next.
