Rob and Michele Reiner’s death reports have been sealed by court order, which was “initiated by” the Los Angeles Police Department.
On Monday, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner released a press release stating that although reports on Michele and Rob’s cause of death had already been made public, they suppressed them.
“Although the cause and manner of death were previously disclosed in these cases, due to the court order, the information is no longer available. No further information or records on the case, including the medical examiner’s report, may be released or posted on the website until further notice,” the press release said, noting that a “security hold” has been placed at this time.

The statement said the medical examiner’s office received the court order on Dec. 24 at 10:30 a.m.
The medical examiner’s office said more information will be shared once the court order is lifted.

Fox News Digital contacted the LAPD for comment.

On December 23, Death records for Rob and Michele were released.
According to death certificates obtained by Fox News Digital from the Los Angeles County Department of Public Healththe couple was cremated at the Mount Sinai Mortuary.

The certificates also confirmed what was revealed last week by Los Angeles County. Medical Examiner’s Office that the Reiners died from multiple injuries caused by sharp force. The certificates stated that the injuries were caused “with a knife, by another”.

On Sunday, December 14, police discovered the bodies of Rob and Michele in the master bedroom of their home in Brentwood, California.
The couple’s son, Nick, was quickly named as a person of interest in the investigation and hours later, around 9:15 p.m. local time, the same day, he was arrested.

On December 16, authorities charged Nick with the double homicide of his parents. He was charged with two counts of first-degree murder, with a special circumstance of multiple murders.

“He also faces a specific allegation that he personally used a dangerous and deadly weapon, namely a knife,” Los Angeles County District Attorney Nathan Hochman said at a news conference. “These charges carry a maximum sentence of life in prison without parole or the death penalty.”

No decision has been made on whether prosecutors will seek death penalty.
Nick first appeared in court on December 17, where his lawyer, renowned defense attorney Alan Jackson, requested a continuance. His arraignment is now set for January 7.
