China continued its live-fire military exercises around Taiwan for a second day on December 30. The exercises involved 130 military aircraft and 22 warships near the island within 24 hours. Beijing considers the autonomous island as part of its territory and claims to be acting against the provocation of separatist forces in Taiwan.
