Guinean coup leader Doumbouya elected president according to provisional results




More than three years after seizing power in a military coup, Guinea’s junta leader Mamady Doumbouya won a landslide election victory Tuesday that consolidates his hold on the presidency, in a vote that critics say took place in a tightly controlled political environment as the country seeks to draw a line under years of upheaval.
