Pakistan will have a very busy year in 2026, with the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, ICC World Test Championship 2025-2027 and Pakistan Super League (PSL). The Men in Green are expected to play several bilateral series, with numerous trips and a tight schedule that leaves little room for rest next year.
Pakistan’s cricket program for 2026 is mainly based on the Future Tours Program (FTP). In recent years, the Men in Green have played many of their home series in the United Arab Emirates. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed most of the team’s matches for 2026, while a few series are still awaiting final approval.
Pakistan will begin its 2026 season with a foreign mission. The Men in Green are scheduled to play a three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka in early January. All three matches will be played at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, giving Pakistan a first chance to settle into the year.

After the Sri Lanka series, Pakistan will host Australia for a three-match T20I series. The tour will run from January 30 to February 5 and will be their last outing before the 2026 T20 World Cup. Playing in sub-continental conditions will help the team pressure test their combinations.
They will then focus on the T20 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8. Back-to-back T20I series against Sri Lanka and Australia are expected to play an important role in helping Pakistan build momentum and confidence ahead of the start of the World Cup.
After the World Cup, Pakistan could host Australia for a three-match ODI series. The tour is expected to feature three matches and is likely to take place in mid-March 2026, although final dates are yet to be confirmed.
The schedule will be locked once Cricket Australia completes its travel plans and the Pakistan Cricket Board gives official approval. If confirmed, the series will be added to Pakistan’s busy international schedule after the World Cup.
After the international action, the focus will be on domestic cricket with the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League. PSL 11 is expected to be played between April and May 2026.
The tournament is expected to feature top Pakistani players as well as several foreign stars, making it one of the highlights of Pakistan’s 2026 cricket season.
Pakistan will have a tough Test mission in 2026 when they tour England for a three-match Test series. The series will be played in August and September and is part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27.
This tour will be one of the biggest challenges of the year in Pakistan. All three Tests will be played at historic venues: Headingley, Lord’s and Edgbaston. The English conditions are known to help fast bowlers, which will test Pakistan’s batters and their ability to adapt to the away side.
This tour of England will also be important for Pakistan’s position in the World Test Championship rankings. Apart from the England series, Pakistan also has other Test series in the same WTC cycle. They are expected to play two home Tests against Sri Lanka and two away Tests against West Indies.
