Georgian hairdresser About Meko Smith is under fire after turning away Stephanie Dotsona mother waiting for service with her six children. The incident was caught on camera and has since gone viral. The stylist explained that her home salon has a strict “no children, no extra guests” policy. The mother claims she was not informed and believes the images were used to embarrass her.
Who is wrong and what is the balance between home activities, childcare and single parenting?
The shadow room Justin Carter study all this on ‘TSR investigates.’
This was Za’Meko Smith’s second time doing Stephanie Dotson hair when she arrived with six of her children. Ultimately, Smith explained to the mother that her sitting through her appointment was a “definite no.”
“I looked at the passive. I looked at, who’s going to watch them while you’re in the chair?” Smith explained to Carter.
Additionally, Smith explained that he would have made an exception with a child. However, six children would have been too many for her hairdressing space, and they would have had to be “spread out,” potentially unsupervised throughout her home.
After images of Stephanie Dotson arriving at Smith’s home with her six children went viral, she explained that the stylist allegedly claimed the “no kids” policy. After the incident – not before.
“Do you think I would have showed up at this man’s house with all these babies if he had that policy there?” she told viewers during a live broadcast.
Scroll above to see Za’Meko Smith explain his side of the story, alleging he gave Dotson time to find someone to watch his children. Additionally, he explains that he was still able to do the mother’s hair. Finally, he also shares his thoughts on those who criticize his actions. This, as Dotson doubles down on his stance of disrespect.
