Aydan Nix, Gigi and Bella Hadid’s Secret Half-Sister, Details Their Bond

Gigi And Bella Hadidthe recently discovered half-sister, Aidan Nixtalks about his growing connection with models.

Gigi, 30, and Bella, 29, announced in May that they were having a 23 year old stepsisterborn from a brief relationship with their father, Mohamed Hadidmore than 20 years ago with Terri Hatfield dull.

“My sisters (and the rest of the family) were nothing short of warm and generous. They made space for me in ways they didn’t need,” Aydan wrote.

Aydan explained how “Anwar called me his little sister the first time we spoke on the phone” and “Bella calls me his twin.” She added: “My mother couldn’t even make out our voices when we first spoke to her on the phone. »

Her siblings also helped her learn more about her Palestinian heritage. “Alana sent me resources and inspired me to become active in the fight for Palestinian freedom,” she wrote. “I watched Anwar’s film Walled. Gigi took me to eat my first Palestinian meal and taught me the names of different dishes.

Aydan said Gigi also helped her get her foot in the door in the fashion industry after she graduated from New York’s Parsons School of Design earlier this year.

“Gigi introduced me to her friend Gabriella Karefa Johnsonwhom I had admired not only for her style but also for her strong beliefs and values,” she wrote. “I began helping her when times were particularly busy. My first day on set was a Victoria’s Secret campaign. I worked 17 hours that day. I was exhausted, but I had never felt so fulfilled in my life. I felt like I had finally found what I was supposed to do.

Despite his budding relationship with his five siblings, Aydan admitted to feeling “insecure” about not growing up with them. “No sleepovers, no shared vacations, no borrowing clothes, no inside jokes, no stories woven together,” she explained. “They had a lifetime of memories and I felt like a stranger.”

Aydan also reflected on the new attention she’s received since Gigi and Bella announced their half-sister news in May.

“Overnight, anyone, anywhere in the world could weigh in on my face, my body, my family, my worth,” Aydan wrote of his sudden public profile. “They had access to tell me exactly what changes they thought I should (or shouldn’t) make to my appearance.”

According to Aydan, people “expected my life to change and become glamorous, jet-setting, with an endless bank account”, but his life didn’t change much. She said she still works as a freelance wardrobe stylist and as a part-time cashier at a vintage store in New York’s East Village.

Gigi and Bella revealed how they found out about their new sibling in a statement released to Daily Mail in May.

“Over 20 years ago, our father, although single, had a brief relationship that led to a pregnancy,” they said. “Aydan was born and raised in Florida, growing up with the man she affectionately knew as her father until his sudden death at the age of 19. After his passing, she decided to take a genetic test out of curiosity, and that’s how she discovered a biological connection to us.”

The statement continued: “We first connected in late 2023, and from that moment on, we embraced Aydan with open arms. She spent time with all of us, including our father, and we cherished this unexpected and beautiful addition to our family.”
