Vonshae shares GoFundMe after serious car accident

Two days ago, Vonshae organized a GoFundMe fundraiser with a goal of $40,000. She explained that she was in a near-fatal car accident on November 2, but did not specify whether the year was 2024 or 2025. Taylor-Morales said at the end that she had racked up “huge medical bills” while being unable to work for more than a year and a half. Vonshae also explained that doctors pronounced her dead, but she later recovered in the intensive care unit.

“I was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics were able to restore my pulse. I suffered 16 facial fractures, 4 jaw fractures, and 2 skull fractures. I had 3 brain surgeries and 2 stomach surgeries,” the Vonshae fundraiser said.

Additionally, according to the “LHH” alum, doctors told her parents to prepare for the funeral. Then one day she started moving. Despite doubts about her ability to walk, talk or feed herself, she ultimately succeeded.

“One of the biggest lessons I have learned is that God always has the last word. He has protected me and is now helping guide me on this long road to recovery,” Vonshae wrote.

‘LHH Miami’ Alum Explains Weight Gain During Recovery

In the video Vonshae shared, she said a driver T-boned her off the highway. The impact caused his car to hit a light pole and crash into another highway pole. Again, she said she died instantly and paramedics had to bring her back to life. Then came more than a year in intensive care. Touching his face, Vonshae said he was “still fat” after his multiple fractures to his face, skull and jaw.

“That car accident was horrible. I’m not comfortable with driving yet, so I’m a passenger princess and I even like getting in the car, like sometimes we hit a bump or a pothole and I like to panic.”

More than a year later, Vonshae Taylor-Morales said she was taking 36 pills a day, at least one of which caused weight gain through an increase in appetite. Being bedridden while having to eat also had an impact on her weight. “I gained a lot of weight. I was 250, I’m 212 now,” ” Vonshae said, admitting that she likes the extra weight in areas like her thighs and butt. She later said that she had also suffered from lupus since she was a teenager. Additionally, she said her vision was still “a little bad” after the windshield glass ended up in her left eye. She will soon know if she needs eye surgery.

V says she’ll never get back with Gunplay

As fans delved into her accident and recovery, others still had questions about her ex-husband, Gunplay. In September 2023, Vonshae told his followers on social media that she had filed for divorce, but the rapper refused to sign the papers. Because their marriage was based in Florida, she claimed certain laws prevented her from divorcing him without his permission.

The previous month, he had been arrested for aggravated battery, false imprisonment and child abuse without serious bodily injury, by complex. He allegedly pointed an AK-47 weapon at Vonshae Taylor-Morales and their six-month-old child. She then obtained a restraining order and, as explained, filed for divorce. In her latest video update, Vonshae clarified that she would never reconnect romantically with Gunplay.

“I will never, and I mean never, get back with Gunplay. I don’t care if you pay me… the shit he did. Violating our restraining order over and over again, and the things he said online about me and my family, and the radio tours… and the word on the street is that he played a role in this accident, I never will.”

Gunplay has not spoken publicly about his ex-wife’s near-fatal accident.
