Claressa Shields says Papoose didn’t spend Christmas with Remy Ma

Claressa Shields clears things up once again on behalf of her man, Papua! This time she shut down comments about whether he had a small family reunion with Remy Mom for Christmas. This comes less than two weeks after the boxing champ went viral for interjecting during a “Breakfast Club” chat about Pap and Remy’s online beef and its shocking ending.

Claressa Shields Shares Who Papoose Spent Christmas With

On Monday, December 29, Claressa was promoting her physical appearance on X, formerly Twitter, when another user slipped in the comment section speaking on Papoose. Shields had written that her body was “tea” and that she never needed to take Ozempic for weight problems. While some fans applauded the energy, others had questions regarding her baby, Pap. In a tweet, a user asked her what she thought about Papoose “spending Christmas with his wife and daughter?” Claressa didn’t hold back and wrote:

“Dad spent Christmas with his mother and her family. Not his EX-wife! You are certainly misinformed.”

It is unclear if Papoose’s “family” included seeing his and Remy’s daughter, Reminisce MacKenzie Mackie. However, the same user X clapped back: “Oh ok. She’s not his ex-wife. You’re definitely misinformed.” However, this time Claressa continued to tweet, choosing not to respond. No other details on who started the rumors of a resumption of vacations between Reminisce’s parents.

Are Papoose and Remy Ma friendly IRL?

In May 2025, Remy Ma and Papoose had a nasty online argument — months after ex-wife criticized Pap and Claressa Shields’ relationship. The former king and queen of “Black Love” accused each other of cheating. In a written diatribe, he revealed that he filed for divorce on May 22, 2025. “Why are you even posting fake texts if you’re supposedly happy. Keep it up!!! Stop saying ‘SIGN THE PAPERS’. I already filed for divorce…” Pap said at that time.

This month, he doubled down on his claims that he wasn’t the cheater in Remy Ma’s marriage. It happened when he entered “The Breakfast Club” studio to discuss his music and his label. At one point, the hosts invited Claressa Shields on the mic as they asked questions about how Remy and Papoose broke up. He repeatedly wished his ex-wife well and tried to refrain from any accusations. Meanwhile, Claressa emphasized that his marriage is his PAST and they are focused on his present and future, especially with her.

“It takes time. It’s a divorce. It’s not something that happens overnight, but people’s lives don’t stop because of it. It’s papers, it’s time, it’s things that have to happen, but at the end of the day, we move forward with our lives,” Claressa Shields said.
