Every year, TechCrunch’s Startup Battlefield pitch competition attracts thousands of applicants. We reduce these applications to the top 200 contendersand among them, the top 20 compete on the big stage to become the winner, taking home the Startup Battlefield Cup and a $100,000 cash prize. Why it’s notable: Alltroo manages the sweepstakes processes involving a celebrity, whether it is an event with the celebrity or a donation to charity, from promotion to managing entries to selecting the winner.
METAPYXL
What it does: Metapyxl protects digital media with content management tools.
Why it’s notable: This platform provides artists and content creators with watermarking, usage tracking, licensing, and analytics tools.
Nebula
What it does: A music gallery where fans can support their favorite artists and earn royalties from them while helping them succeed.

Oriane
What it does: Oriane offers a search tool to find brands and trends in videos using natural language search.
Why it’s notable: From tracking mentions of a brand to tracking content creators, finding videos has remained difficult. This platform offers AI-powered text, image, and video clip search.
Othelia Technologies
What it does: AI-powered storytelling platform that helps humans create.
Why it’s notable: Othelia is designed to map a story’s structure, find connections, and offer insights so storytellers can build, edit, and work with complex worlds.
Transitional forms
What it does: Transitional Forms runs live simulations from prompts.
Why it’s notable: This patent-pending framework allows anyone to create, remix and export instant video simulations from a mobile device. The startup claims to be building SocialTV, the future of entertainment.
