Cody Rhodes addresses The Rock, Triple H and other top legends in scary moment on SmackDown

Cody Rhodes is truly WWE’s quarterback and the biggest star in the industry in 2026. He addressed The Rock, Triple H, Drew McIntyre, CM Punk and John Cena in a chilling promo.

For some context, this week on the first SmackDown of 2026, Cody Rhodes came out to address his next opponent, Drew McIntyre. The two will meet again next week in Berlin when they face off in a Three Stages of Hell match. The three stages were also revealed.

As for Cody Rhodes, he spoke to The Rock, Roman ruleJohn Cena, Triple H, Drew McIntyre and CM Punk, but said that despite all the legendary big names, he is the only one who can call himself the Champion.

It was a great promo that was completely hijacked by Drew McIntyre, who got a little too personal with it when he took a photo of Cody and his father, the late great Dusty Rhodes. Knowing he could be stripped of the title if he got his hands on Drew McIntyre, he still rushed to the back, where Nick Aldis and the security team arrested him.

Following this, McIntyre revealed it was a ruse and then tricked Rhodes into the ring with him, where he held the photo over a trash can. Cody tried to run in, but security was on time and, unlike most situations, came in handy for once. They kept Cody with their dear life while McIntyre lit this photo before throwing it in the trash. To add salt to the wound, McIntyre showed his face right in front of Cody’s while he was completely overpowered.

Aldis was heard in the back screaming “You’re sick” Drew McIntyredisapproving of his actions.
