Terence Crawford bets big on Teofimo Lopez vs. Shakur Stevenson winner

Terence Crawford has weighed in on the fast-approaching showdown between Shakur Stevenson and Teofimo Lopez, betting $10,000 on his prediction.

The two Americans will face off for Lopez’s WBO welterweight world title on January 31.many considering their fight at Madison Square Garden, New York, as a 50/50 clash.

Stevenson, who retained his WBC lightweight title with a comprehensive points victory over William Zepeda in July, is in contention to become a four-division world champion.

Previous performances have seen the southpaw pick up notable wins over Oscar Valdez and Jamel Herring at 130 pounds, with the undefeated slickster never coming close to losing a professional contest.

In this particular fight against Lopez, however, many believe the naturally taller, and perhaps more athletic, man could ultimately emerge triumphant.

Indeed, “The Takeover” has been no slouch when it comes to the big occasions, especially considering his victories over Vasyl Lomachenko and Josh Taylor.

However, a lack of form in the less publicized fights has seen him put in poor performances against Jamaine Ortiz, Sandor Martin and Steve Claggett in recent years.

But despite this, many will point out his latest victory over Arnold Barboza Jr, which saw Lopez produce one of his most impressive performancesand suggest he is able to solve Stevenson’s puzzle later this month.

One of those anticipating a masterclass from Lopez is popular streamer Adin Ross, who bet $10,000 with Crawford during one of his live broadcasts.

Crawford, on the other hand, insisted that Stevenson was the man who would put on a boxing clinic.

“Téo is good at what he does but he gets washed out”

Fans only have weeks to wait to find out.
