Maamma did quite well in the Under-20 World Cup and is a promising young player with a bright future. Chelsea have shown their willingness to invest in talented players in recent windows, and it is no surprise that they are keen to sign the 20-year-old. The opportunity to join Chelsea could also be very exciting for the player. This would be a huge step forward in his career and he could test himself in the Premier League.

Watford are in no position to deny him a move to the Premier League if a lucrative offer is presented. However, the 20-year-old needs to join a project in which he has a leading role to play. He needs a clear path to the first team and regular opportunities to develop and realize his potential. Sitting on the bench of a big club will be of no use to him. This could harm its development. It remains to be seen whether Chelsea are ready to offer him these opportunities.

Alternatively, Strasbourg could look to recruit him and help him develop with regular opportunities. Chelsea could then sign him in the future.
