Kennedy family members mourn death of Tatiana Schlossberg at 35


Members of the Kennedy family pay tribute to their relative Tatiana Schlossberg deceased at the age of 35.

Tatiana, the youngest daughter of Caroline Kennedy And Edwin Schlossbergdied on December 30, 2025 from cancer.

“Our beautiful Tatiana died this morning”, a press release shared by the JFK Library Foundation read. “She will always be in our hearts.”

The statement was signed by Tatiana’s husband, George MoranAnd their two childrenEdwin and Josephine. The parents of the late journalist, as well as her brothers and sisters, Jack And Rose Schlossbergwere also mentioned, as was Rose’s partner, Rory McAuliffe.

Tatiana, one of the deceased John F. Kennedy And Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis‘, revealed in November 2025 that she had been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia after giving birth to Josephine in 2024.

“They held my hand without flinching while I suffered, trying not to show their pain and sadness to protect me from it,” Tatiana recalled the support of her family in a New Yorkers essay. “It has been a great gift, even though I feel their pain every day. … Now I have added a new tragedy to [my mother’s] life, to the life of our family, and there is nothing I can do to stop it.

According to Tatiana, her rare form of cancer could not “be cured by standard treatment”. Instead, she underwent chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant.

Maria Shriver, the daughter of JFK’s sister Eunice Kennedy, shared a lengthy statement via social networks after the death of his cousin.

“I can’t understand this. I can’t understand this at all. None. Zero,” Shriver wrote via Instagram. “Tatiana was a great journalist and she used her words to educate others about the earth and how to save it. She created a beautiful life with her extraordinary husband George and children Eddie and Josie. She fought like a warrior. She was valiant, strong. [and] brave.”

She continued: “My heart has always been with my cousin Caroline since we were little children. My whole being is with her now. What a rock she has been. What a source of love she has been to Ed, Rose, Rory, Jack, George, Eddie, Josie and all of Tatiana’s cousins ​​and friends and the incredible doctors who tried so hard.”

Shriver further promised that “those of us who remain will ensure that” Tatiana’s children always know “what a beautiful and courageous spirit their mother was and always will be.”

Tatiana’s younger brother, Jack Schlossberg, paid a moving tribute to his late sister on January 5, the same day the Kennedy family gathered for Tatiana’s funeral. In his Instagram post, Jack shared a snap of him and Tatiana, alongside a series of quotes from several inspiring figures, including their grandfather, John F. Kennedy, Abraham Lincoln, Buddha, Robert Frost and more. Jack also included a quote from his sister’s 2019 book, Discreet consumption.

“It is up to us to create a country that takes seriously its obligations to the planet, to each other, and to the people who will be born into a world different from ours for around 10,000 years,” Tatiana wrote. “Essentially, what I’m describing is hard work with perhaps limited success for the rest of your life. But we have to do it, and at least we’ll have the satisfaction of knowing we’ve made things better.”
