Savannah Guthrie is on the mend following vocal cord surgery.
Guthrie, 54, shared an update on his health via Instagram on Monday, January 5, posting a photo of herself wearing black-rimmed glasses and holding a whiteboard with the message, “Everything is ok! Thanks for the prayers and love!”

Guthrie’s friends and fans posted messages of support in the comments section.
“I feel better my girlfriendxxxx,” wrote Hoda Kotbwhile Sheinelle Jones — who recently succeeded Kotb, 61, as co-host on the fourth hour from the NBC morning show — dropped four heart emojis.

Jones told Guthrie that she had undergone vocal cord surgery five years prior.
“The positive side is you have permission to be left alone,” she said. “The house is getting quiet. The children will want to help you.”
Jones then showed Guthrie the whiteboard she used while recovering from her surgery.

When Jones noted that Guthrie might come out of surgery with a Celine Dion– a singing voice of caliber, Guthrie joked, “It’s really funny. I used to be able to sing, and then I couldn’t sing, and then I couldn’t talk, so who knows?”
Guthrie joined Todayin 2011 and has since undergone three eye surgeries, including one to repair his retina following an eye injury in 2019 and cataract surgery in 2020.
“I’m seeing all the colors a little brighter today 🌸,” she wrote in an Instagram update following this latest procedure. “I’m so grateful that my surgery was a success! I’m still healing but I’m already noticing a major improvement in my vision. My eyes are filled with tears of joy!”
