Amad plays and organizes the clash against Egypt

Ivory Coast set up an Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final against Egypt with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Burkina Faso.

Manchester United winger Amad Diallo scored one goal and scored one in a dominant first half as the Elephants cruised to victory in Marrakech.

Four of the previous seven meetings between the two teams had ended in draws, but Amad was in no mood to extend that streak.

He led the first match before preparing the second for Yan Diomande, Bazoumana Touré adding a third at the end of the match.

Ivory Coast will face Mohamed Salah and his Egyptian teammates in Agadir on Saturday.

This match is a repeat of the 2006 final, where the North African team triumphed on penalties after a 0-0 draw.

Ivory Coast dominated the competition against an under-equipped Burkinabé and could have won by a greater margin without the excellent goalkeeping of Hervé Koffi.
