Nominations officially revealed for SAG-AFTRA’s newest nominee Acting Award.
Abbott Elementary SchoolIt is Janelle James And Passionate rivalrythe star of Connor Storrie announced the list of nominees on Wednesday January 7, before the 32nd edition SAG awards ceremony on March 1st.
Those following the 2026 awards season – which kicked off with the Critics’ Choice Awards on Sunday, January 4, you’ll likely notice a major change in the upcoming ceremony, formerly known as the Screen Actors Guild Awards. News broke in November 2025 that the SAG Awards will now be called The Actor Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA.
“Since the beginning, our statue has been called The Actor and we’ve been a show all about actors, so this new name is a perfect next step in the show’s evolution. The Actor Awards presented by SAG-AFTRA give viewers in more than 190 countries an immediate understanding of who and what we are,” showrunner and executive producer Jon Brockett noted in a statement at the time.
Even though the ceremony has a new name, fans shouldn’t expect to see any differences in eligibility, voting, or awards.
In addition to the film and television nominees revealed on Wednesday, the awards ceremony will take place celebrate Harrison Ford as the recipient of SAG-AFTRA’s highest honor, the Life Achievement Award.
