Man United star Casemiro eyes Palmeiras move

Manchester United defensive midfielder Casemiro is expected to attract interest from Brazilian club Palmeiras.

According to Transfersquoting journalist Diego Firmino, Palmeiras could present an offer for Casemiro amid doubts over his Man Utd future.

The report suggests that Palmeiras could offer the veteran Brazilian international a two-year deal, although it remains to be seen whether he will return to the Brazilian league permanently.

Casemiro could well end up receiving tempting offers elsewhere, with clubs in the Saudi Pro League perhaps also realistic as potential destinations for him, with much higher salaries likely to be on offer there.

Casemiro is one of the greats of his generation, having played a key role in some of Real Madrid’s best teams over the past decade.

The 33-year-old has won five Champions League titles during his time at the Bernabeu, as well as three La Liga titles and other major honours.

Casemiro also got off to a good start at United when he joined in the summer of 2022, helping the club to the Carabao Cup final in his first season at Old Trafford.

Since then, however, Casemiro’s form has deteriorated and he is clearly no longer the player he once was.

Manchester United must make midfield changes

We imagine we’ll see Casemiro leave soon, and he might not be the only one, with Manuel Ugarte also struggling during his time in Manchester.

The Red Devils are also strongly linked to Nottingham Forest star Elliot Anderson speak Daily Mail and others, and he could be a good replacement.

Casemiro will no doubt be remembered for a great career, but especially in Madrid rather than this end of his Premier League career.
