Turmeric is a superfood rich in antioxidants and anti-inflammatory compounds. It also gives this fruity mango-tangerine smoothie a gorgeous shade of gold. Garnished with juicy mandarin orange wedges, it’s a perfect breakfast to start the day.

Mango-Tangerine and Turmeric Protein Shake

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla protein powder
  • 1.5 cups frozen mango
  • 1 1/4 cup (306 g) 0% plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 cup (200 g) mandarin orange segments, keep 8 sections for garnish

Instructions

Place the almond milk, protein powder, mango, yogurt, turmeric and tangerine (reserving 8) in a high-powered blender. Blend until smooth and creamy.

Divide the smoothie between two glasses. Garnish with tangerine wedges, skewered on 5-inch skewers or placed on top of the smoothie.
