The soundtrack of the Heated Rivalry series is finally released to seduce us all

If you’re reading this, I’m sure you, like me, played a starring role in the official “Heated Rivalry” playlist on Spotify for the past month, rekindling (or discovering) the love of French electropop like La Bronze and Alfa Rococo, the sensual melancholy of Baxter Dury and indie rock groups like Wet Leg, Feist and Wolf Parade. There’s also the non-stop replay power of tATu and Harrison’s versions of “All The Things She Said” after the well-placed needle drop in episode 4 completely erased a generation. The collaboration between series creator/director/writer Jacob Tierney and music supervisor Scotty Taylor has been nothing short of spectacular, helping to elevate the adaptation of Rachel Reid’s New York Times bestselling book series to one of the most talked about television shows of 2025.

Sound can really make or break a moment, and “Heated Rivalry” provided a new model for how showrunners should consider incorporating music into their stories. “I Believe in Anything” by Wolf Parade play during the most crucial moment of episode 5 became such a sensation that the NHL played the song (along with “All The Things She Said”) during regular season games, whipping audiences into a frenzy. But the “Heated Rivalry” soundtrack isn’t limited to licensed music. The show also features original songs by artist and composer Peter Peter (Canadian singer-songwriter) – songs that the fandom has been clamoring for and yearning for since the show’s debut in November 2025.

Well, my dear loons, I come with excellent news. The highly anticipated soundtrack to the original series “Heated Rivalry” is not only available for all of us, but the two lead singles are also available. Finally available so you can listen to it on loop non-stop until your ears fall off the side of your head.

The most requested song from Heated Rivalry episode 2 is here

“Heated Rivalry” marks the debut of Peter Peter and he was hand-picked by showrunner and creator Jacob Tierney. Between the thrilling electro music and the intimate writing present for the most moving moments of the show, it’s quite an introduction for the composer. The first single available is “Rivalry”, the techno theme that opens the first episode of “Heated Rivalry” and makes recurring appearances throughout the series. This song will undoubtedly become double platinum on everyone’s gym playlists, especially for those who sweat doing elevated kettlebell sumo squats to tone the glutes like a hockey player or competitively pedal in a sexual tension race on stationary bikes.

But the biggest one for fans is the availability of “It’s You,” the sensual and immersive original song that plays when Shane Hollander (Hudson Williams) and Ilya Rozanov (Connor Storrie) have penetrative sex for the first time in Shane’s Montreal apartment in Episode 2. The song, which evokes the same feeling for anyone old enough to fall in love to the sounds of The Postal Service’s “Such Great Heights” and screamed through a broken heart to “The District Sleeps Alone Tonight”, has left its mark on the psyche of fans around the world. It’s the song that sows the seeds that lead to the eventual emotional barnburner of a season finalewhen the relationship between the two main characters reveals itself to be more than a carnal release. It’s a perfectly executed scene in every way, and that includes Peter Peter’s breathtaking original song.

The full release of the “Heated Rivalry” series soundtrack is scheduled for later this month via Milan Records, but the main singles are now available on streaming platforms everywhere.
