Angelina Jolie reportedly left Hollywood due to the increasing financial difficulties she has faced since her separation from her ex-husband, Brad Pitt.
The former couple have been embroiled in a long-running dispute over their winery, a feud which has reportedly depleted her finances despite the wealth she has accumulated through her acting career.
According to reports, Angelina Jolie may settle in several locations in Europe, Asia or Africa, given her past experience in these regions, both for acting projects and philanthropic work.

Since last year, rumors have been circulating that Angelina Jolie is leaving Hollywood to start a new life, perhaps outside the United States.
Those rumors intensified further earlier this month amid reports that she had put her $25 million Cecil B. DeMille estate up for sale and had already begun showing the property to potential buyers ahead of a possible move.
Now, sources close to the actress hinted at the reason behind Jolie’s alleged decision, surprising many.
They claim the actress is facing significant financial difficulties that have left her “struggling to maintain her Los Angeles lifestyle.”
“She’s not Taylor Swift-level rich, where the money literally flows like champagne,” a source close to Jolie’s situation said, according to Rob Shuter’s #.ShutterScoop.

“She’s not broke, but she’s not really swimming in money either,” the same source further underlined about the actress.

Considering all the big films that Angelina Jolie has appeared in over the years, she has accumulated considerable wealth.
However, much of that fortune reportedly came at a heavy price due to her lengthy legal battle with ex-husband Brad Pitt following their split.
“The legal battle with Brad over Miraval drained his accounts faster than anyone imagined,” the source said.
At the center of the duo’s dispute is their Château Miraval winery, in which Jolie sold her stake to Tenute del Mondo, the wine division of the Stoli Group, in 2021.

Pitt argued that the asset was sold in an underhanded manner and that he did not have an opportunity to match the sale price.
“Every hearing, every lawyer, every filing” stemming from their legal feud cost Jolie a fortune, which one Hollywood lawyer familiar with the matter described as “throwing money into a bonfire.”
The actress also reportedly had to sell assets to cover these expenses, which appear to have no end in sight.
“We’re talking jewelry, art, even a vintage Ferrari. She hates it, but the bills don’t stop,” a former Jolie aide added of the situation.

Amid the swirling rumors, Jolie has yet to reveal where she plans to settle down if she leaves Hollywood.
For now, it could be anywhere in Europe, Asia or Africa, as she has previously traveled to these regions both for film projects and for her philanthropic work.
“Cambodia is still close to his heart – Maddox, Tomb Raider, citizenship – he ticks all the boxes,” a source suggested. “Italy and France are also options. She likes Europe and it’s easier to maintain her lifestyle there without emptying her bank account.”
“She has spent time in Myanmar, Sierra Leone, Tanzania, Pakistan, Kenya, Jordan, Syria… It’s not just a trip, it’s her life’s work,” another source hinted. “She’s comfortable on the international level in a way that Los Angeles can’t compete with.”
Meanwhile, Jolie’s decision to move appears to be well accepted among her close friends.
“She’s smart, savvy and yes, she worries about her money,” a friend told the outlet. “If she can live somewhere beautiful, safe and make her fortune last? She will.”

The tour is scheduled to wrap up in September after performing in more than 30 cities, including several in North America.
This year, fans can also expect major projects like this from Jolie, as she is expected to have more free time to prepare for her departure from Hollywood.
“She’s ready for a life that isn’t L.A.-centric,” a close source said. People Magazine about Jolie, who co-produced the musical.
“There are a lot of projects that she is passionate about and she feels good,” they added. “She’s looking forward to 2026 and the flexibility she will have then.”
