The draw will take place at Anfield on Monday January 12 before the Reds host Third Division Barnsley in the final match of this season’s third round.
Presenter Darren Fletcher will host alongside Rangers and Scotland Hall of Famer Ally McCoist, who was part of a Sunderland team beaten 3-0 at home by Liverpool in the 1981/82 fourth round.
The draw is expected to begin around 6:35 p.m. GMT (1:35 p.m. ET / 10:35 a.m. PT) in a live broadcast starting five minutes in advance in the UK.
