vice-president J.D. Vance has doubled down on its fierce criticism of the press after cellphone footage surfaced of the federal agent’s perspective of Wednesday’s fatal shooting in Minneapolis.

Alpha News was the first to obtain the video showing a tense exchange between the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent and Renee Nicole Good37, who was shot and killed while driving the car he was standing in front of, along with his wife, who is seen taunting the officer from outside the vehicle.

“What the press did by lying about this innocent law enforcement officer is disgusting. You should all be ashamed,” Vance responded to the footage on X.

He then told his X followers: “Look at this, as difficult as it is. Many of you have heard that this law enforcement officer was not hit by a car, was not harassed and murdered an innocent woman. The reality is that his life was in danger and he shot in self-defense.”

Liberal critics, however, dispute Vance’s comments, with many of them insisting that the ICE agent was never touched by Good.

“1. He wasn’t hit by a car, which we believe because we have eyes,” responded Jon Favreau, co-host of Pod Save America. “2. I didn’t realize that ‘hey man, I’m not mad at you’ was harassment that warrants a death sentence 3. He killed an innocent woman 4. Shooting him in the face did nothing to protect him. Getting out of the way did.”

VANCE CALLS CNN AND OTHER MEDIA AN “ABSOLUTE SHAME” FOR WHAT THEY LEFT OUT OF MINNEAPOLIS ICE SHOOTING

“Sir, I don’t think the video shows what you want us to believe. We have eyes,” said Julia Ioffe, editor of Puck News.

“Liar,” Sarah Longwell, editor of The Bulwark said Vance. “She says, ‘It’s good, man. I’m not mad at you.’ Then she clearly walks away and he shoots her three times in the face and calls her a ‘f—— b——-‘. Then you all immediately lied about it and called her a domestic terrorist, which is obviously a false smear. »

“The only real harassment you see in this video is when the police officer calls the woman he just murdered a ‘f—— b——-‘, on his own recording, right after murdering her,” former MSNBC host Mehdi Hasan also said. wrote. “And the Trump administration thought it was a clip in their favor?? That the VP should promote? Sheesh.”

“That’s not reality, you disgusting, soulless liar,” former CNN correspondent John Harwood chided the vice president.

“Since when did it become good gun handling to have your cell phone in one hand and your gun in the other?” asked Sen. Ruben Gallego, D-Ariz. “No law enforcement officer has ever trained to get in front of a vehicle and why did he continue to shoot even after she drove away. An American citizen is dead and the vice president is trying to justify it.”

In a lengthy article on

“Does this law enforcement officer have a family? Yes. Was he seriously injured by a vehicle just six months ago? Yes,” Vance wrote. “Does he have reason to fear for his life? Yes. Does he have every right to safety while he carries out his job? Yes.”

“I want our law enforcement officers to do their jobs and return home safely to their families. If you don’t like the Trump administration’s immigration policies, attack me. Leave our law enforcement alone. And it’s time for the press to finally tell the truth about this story.”

Supporters of the Trump administration rallied behind Vance’s sentiment.

“A fair assessment” Elon Musk reacted to the message.

“That is the rational and appropriate view,” Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, similarly concluded.

“This is Exhibit 5,675,341 for why you should NOT trust the establishment media period,” wrote Matthew Boyle of Breitbart News. “The CNNs and New York Times of the world are dishonest brokers. Period.”

The shooting divided the country virtually along partisan lines with the Trump administration accusing Good of trying to ram her vehicle into the ICE agent while critics say she was trying to carjack his vehicle and that the ICE agent used excessive force.

The newly released footage shows the ICE agent approaching the vehicle with Good telling him, “It’s okay, man. I’m not mad.”

His wife, seen approaching the agent, taunted him: “You want to come to us? I tell you to go get yourself some lunch, big guy.”

The officer can be heard repeatedly telling Good to get out of the car. And as his wife attempts to get through the passenger door, Good is seen reversing his vehicle with his wife telling him, “Drive, baby. Drive.”

As the car drives forward, the officer is heard saying “whoa” as his cell phone shakes before gunshots ring out. He is heard saying “f—— b——” as the car drives away before crashing into a parked vehicle, which is only heard in the footage.
