Michael David McKee was arrested Saturday, accused of fatally shooting his ex-wife and her dentist husband at their home in Columbus, Ohioend of December.
Police went to the Weinland Park home the morning of Dec. 30 after Spencer Tepe failed to show up for work and found the 37-year-old man. dentist and Monique Tepe, 39, both died of gunshot wounds.
McKee, 39, is a vascular surgeon who lives in Chicago, where he was arrested Saturday.

He and Tepe were married since 2015, until she filed for divorce in 2017, which appeared to be amicable, according to the Columbus Dispatch. He was living in Virginia at the time the divorce was finalized.
Tepe and her husband were about to celebrate their fifth anniversary when they were killed, a family member told WSYX.
McKee was booked into the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office in Illinois shortly before noon Saturday, records show, and is charged with two counts of murder in Ohio.
Police found McKee using his vehicle, which was captured by neighborhood watch feedslater finding him near where he worked in Rockford, Illinois, according to court documents.
His car was seen arriving shortly before the murders were allegedly committed and leaving shortly afterward, according to court documents.
A an arrest warrant was issued for his arrest on Saturday, shortly before being taken into custody.

He will then be extradited to Franklin County, Ohio, and will be arraigned there on January 12, according to the Dispatch.
Police did not give a motive for the shooting.
Before his arrest, surveillance video would have shown McKee, then unidentified, as a person of interest in the murders, after he was seen walking down an alley at the expected time of the murders – between 2 a.m. and 5 a.m. on December 30.

McKee and Tepe did not have children together.
However, she shared two young children with her husband, who were found unharmed in the house after the police arrived.

McKee has active medical licenses in Illinois and California and is a graduate of The Ohio State University School of Medicine, according to the Dispatch.
He also has family in Zanesville, Ohio, east of Columbus, the newspaper reported.
