A teenage girl in foster care was forced into prostitution by an Ohio woman, who faces numerous criminal charges, authorities say.
Haley Blythe was arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail on Friday, January 9, the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office announced in a press release shared that day.
Information about his legal representation was not immediately listed in court records.
“Only a monster could prey on our most vulnerable youth – those in foster care – for sexual exploitation,” the Ohio Attorney General said. Dave Yost said in a statement.
Blythe is accused of exploiting a 16 year old girl between September 3 and November 7, after the teenager ran away from her foster family, a spokesperson for the Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office said. Greg Flannagan said the Dayton Daily News.

The girl was from a neighboring county and had been placed with a foster family in Montgomery County, according to the sheriff’s office.
“Investigators find that youth in these situations are often targeted because of their vulnerability,” the sheriff’s office said in the release.
The Miami Valley, Ohio, Human Trafficking Task Force investigated Blythe, resulting in criminal charges against her. Several local law enforcement agencies, including the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, as well as Homeland Security Investigations, are involved in this task force.
“According to investigators, Blythe knowingly exploited the victim in several ways, including facilitating and promoting commercial sexual activity and placing the child in unsafe and dangerous situations,” the sheriff’s office said.
Asked about Blythe’s relationship with the teen, Bevins said We that “I don’t believe there was an initial relationship other than their meeting.”
Blythe was charged with several counts, including: human trafficking, illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, child endangerment, coercion into prostitution, promoting prostitution, illegal use of a minor in nudity-oriented material or performance, and contributing to the indiscipline or delinquency of a child.
“Our office remains committed to protecting vulnerable youth and ensuring victims are supported, heard and protected,” the Montgomery County Sheriff said. Rob Streck said in a statement.
Blythe is due in court Jan. 22, records show.
