However, one major development has already made waves: Vicki Gunvalson – known as the “OG of the OC” – was invited back to the series in a full-time role for the first time since its exit after season 13.

For longtime Bravo fans, the idea may not be as far-fetched as it seems. Lauritawho left The Real Housewives of New Jersey after season 7, initially moved with her family to Las Vegas before eventually settling in California, placing her geographically closer to the Orange County cast.
A source told Radar that Laurita “has been approached several times to join the cast of season 20 of RHOC.”
While nothing is set in stone, insiders suggest she’s very involved. “It is not certain that this will happen,” another source explained, stressing that the decision depends on various factors.

Still, Bravo’s interest seems real. “She’s definitely been asked and is a candidate for season 20 of the show,” another insider added.
Lauritawho was known for her close — and sometimes complicated — relationships with fellow RHONJ cast members during its run, has remained a recognizable figure within the Bravo universe since her departure.
As discussions continue behind the scenes, the status of the existing Real Housewives of Orange County cast remains unclear.

Speaking directly to the longtime reality star, Cohen asked, “Vicki, would you like to join us as a housewife for season 20?” »

The moment was moving, with Gunvalson hug Cohen and immediately responding: “Yes!
Her acceptance marked a full circle for the woman who helped launch the franchise when it debuted nearly two decades ago.
Gunvalson first said goodbye to The Real Housewives of Orange County in January 2020, sharing a heartfelt Instagram message with her fans.

“I will always be the OG of the OC, but it’s time to say goodbye to The Real Housewives of Orange County,” she wrote at the time. “It’s been an incredible journey for 14 years, and I want to thank you all for your support, for your love, and for ‘yelling’ with me along the way.”

Her legacy was later honored in 2023 when she received the Wifetime Achievement Award at BravoCon.
“If you watched Season 1…I was like, ‘I don’t want to grow old,’ but here we are growing old together,” Gunvalson said during his acceptance speech. “I want to thank my sisterhood, all my Housewives fans and friends, and the cast members we filmed Season 1 with 18 years ago. I love you all.”
She continued, “None of this would be possible without all the fans who have supported me and loved me through everything I’ve been through. It hasn’t been easy.”
While casting discussions continue and fans speculate about possible shakeups — including the possible addition of Jacqueline Laurita — Bravo has yet to announce the finalized lineup for Season 20.
