Bam Margera agrees to pay $2,500 child support after legal dispute

Bam Margera agreed to pay child support to his ex-wife, Nikki Boyd. The two share a son, Phoenix, 8, who has remained in his mother’s primary care since the couple separated.

The child support deal was reached recently, after years of legal dueling between Margera and Boyd over the amount of the money.

They ultimately agreed on a fee of $2,500 per month, with payments to begin next year. The amount is several thousand dollars less than Boyd’s initial request.

After years of a lengthy court battle, Margera finally reached an agreement with his estranged wife, Boyd, regarding child support for their son, Phoenix.

The couple split in 2021 after nearly ten years of marriage, with Boyd then filing for full custody of their son, reportedly due to Margera’s personal issues at the time.

Today, they agreed to have the troubled former MTV star pay $2,500 a month in child support for their eight-year-old son.

The information was detailed in court documents obtained by TMZ Wednesday, which also predicted Boyd would remain Phoenix’s health insurance coverage provider.

Child support payments are scheduled to begin on January 1 and will most likely end when Phoenix turns 18.

Boyd had initially asked the court to order Margera to pay $15,000 in child support each month.

His request appeared to have been related to his financial difficulties, as detailed in previous court documents regarding his legal battle with Margera, according to the Daily mail.

“[Margera] does not provide health insurance in Phoenix and does not pay for any extras such as education, child care or housing,” Boyd’s lawyer once argued in court, while asking for an increase in the requested amount.

The attorney further noted, “This amount is not sufficient for Phoenix’s support, and Nikki is experiencing serious financial difficulties, while Bam remains a prominent media figure, continues to travel around the country (except to California to visit Phoenix or attend hearings related to this case), owns real estate, and has significant assets in the bank.” »

As part of his child support appeal, Boyd also cited Margera’s alleged financial records to prove he had the money. However, his efforts ultimately did not convince the court to grant his request.
