During a festive Christmas Eve episode of “New heights“, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce shared a surprisingly down-to-earth detail about his relationship with Taylor Swift, and it involved bread.
The 36-year-old revealed that one of the most popular gifts he ever gave Swift, also 36, was a kitchen utensil that she now uses constantly when cooking.
Speaking alongside his brother Jason Kelce and sister-in-law Kylie, Travis said the gift was a bread slicer.
Jason immediately joked, “Oh, nice!” while Travis explained that the gift was inspired by Swift’s growing obsession with baking sourdough at home.
The Chiefs star joked: “I bought it because she made so much f***ing sourdough.”

Swift’s love of baking is well known among those around her. The singer regularly shares homemade breads with friends and family.
In July, she surprised longtime friends Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco with fresh baked bread to celebrate Gomez’s birthday.
Blanco then shared a photo of the gift, alongside a playful handwritten note that read, “It’s a Bread Story,” referencing Swift’s debut hit “Love Story,” according to People Magazine.

Swift has previously spoken openly about her sourdough hobby. During an episode of “New Heights” in August, the pop star joined the podcast and detailed the different flavors she had been experimenting with, particularly for Jason and Kylie’s kids.
“There’s a blueberry lemon, a cinnamon swirl, a cinnamon raisin, and this one I did a workshop for the girls because they love all things rainbow — Funfetti sourdough,” she said on the podcast.
Jason immediately reacted with amazement, predicting that it would completely “blew” them away.
Swift agreed, laughing as she explained that nuggets are basically a staple whenever they spend time together. “We put, you know, we put sprinkles in everything when we go out,” she said.

She then admitted that bread had become an all-consuming passion, joking that sourdough now dominates most of her thoughts and conversations, to the point where she “talks about bread 60% of the time now.”

Outside of the kitchen, Swift and Kelce also reportedly took a thoughtful, unhurried approach to wedding planning, choosing to move forward together without pressure or deadlines weighing on them.
A source says People that the couple navigates the process as a true partnership, with both equally involved and enthusiastic.
According to the source, “They approach this as a partnership, discussing things together and enjoying the process in a way that feels natural to them.”
The pop superstar and Kansas City Chiefs tight end began dating in September 2023 and later shared their engagement news with fans in August.

They announced it via a joint Instagram post on August 26, using humor to mark the milestone. “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” they wrote, adding a dynamite emoji, a playful nod to their longtime nickname “TNT.”
Alongside the announcement, the couple released a series of photos capturing the proposal, which took place at Kelce’s home.

As for the wedding itself, Jason is more than happy to play a role, especially if it involves raising a glass or giving a speech.
The retired Philadelphia Eagles center recently discussed the possibility of being involved during a Dec. 19 appearance on “Good Morning America,” although he did not confirm whether he would give a best man speech.
“Time will tell if there is one or something like it,” he said. E!Newsnoting that he has not yet received details. For now, he’s just willing to support the couple in any way he can, adding that he’s just happy for them as they prepare for the next chapter.
