Could Travis Kelce will he be the next big thing in Hollywood, or will he have the best of both worlds once his NFL career is over? Industry insiders certainly think so!
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end is reportedly making the rounds in the entertainment industry, as big names like Netflix are interested in working with him once he’s done with sports.
Some sources claim that Travis Kelce may not need to give up sports entirely, as he could make a name for himself as a sports analyst like other former NFL stars. In addition to his possible career developments, the athlete is preparing to marry pop star Taylor Swift.

According to new reports, many in the entertainment industry are gearing up for the chance to work with Travis once he completes his tenure as an NFL athlete. An industry insider had plenty to say about his Hollywood potential, saying he could become the next big star.
“To me, he’s an extremely valuable media personality in a polarized country. Everyone likes him, and almost everyone knows who he is,” our source said. They called Travis “charismatic” and a “future NFL Hall of Famer,” recounting Page six:
“He’s a natural on television. He’s smart, he’s funny, he’s authentic.”

The insider compared Travis to the famous Manning brothers, noting that he could become as big as the trio if he worked with his older brother, Jason Kelce. The siblings currently co-host the “New Heights” podcast after signing a three-year deal.

Travis and Jason reportedly partnered with podcast company Wondery to grow their show for $100 million in August 2024. The brothers have since grown their YouTube subscribers to over 3 million, an accomplishment the insider saw as a sign of their potential in the entertainment industry.
Sports media advisor John Kosner echoed similar sentiments, saying, “ESPN could potentially have the brothers team up. They’re even better together than apart.” Jason played for the Philadelphia Eagles until 2024 and then landed a $24 million contract with ESPN.

The three-year deal made Jason a sports analyst for “Monday Night Countdown,” a path Kosner thought Travis might take after leaving the NFL. However, he believed the athlete was more likely to succeed as a sports analyst if he teamed up with his older brother as part of a “package.”

While some insiders believed Travis could either become a sports analyst or join the entertainment industry, others claimed he could have the best of both worlds. Industry sources claimed that big names like Netflix were interested in working with the NFL star.
A source claimed that the streaming platform’s head of content, Bela Bajara, may have been in talks with Travis’ team. However, they did not know the details of these alleged meetings because “everything at this level would be kept top secret at the moment.”
Another source claimed that Travis’ managers, twins Aaron and Andre Eanes, were spotted at Zooey Deschanel’s Christmas party in Los Angeles on December 13. They were reportedly in the company of TV and film stars, including “White Lotus” producer David Bernad, sparking speculation a new series is in the works.

Travis’ retirement rumors first made waves in 2024 after the Kansas City Chiefs lost the Super Bowl to the Eagles. They suffered a shocking 40-22 defeat, with The explosion reporting that the tight end ended speculation with a bold statement.
Travis announced he would return for the 2025 season, but retirement rumors returned after the Chiefs failed to reach the playoffs for the first time in 11 years. The team currently sits in third place in the AFC West and 10th overall in the AFC.
When asked if the team’s December game against the Broncos would be Travis’ last, coach Andy Reid couldn’t give a straight answer. Instead, he shifted the journalists’ attention to the athlete’s performance and personality, calling him a “great” person and player.

A few days earlier, The explosion covered the final episode of Taylor’s documentary series “End of an Era,” where her mother, Andrea Swift, made an appearance. The matriarch revealed she played a key role in her daughter’s relationship with Travis.
According to Andrea, she was surfing the internet one day when she came across Travis’ confession about his interest in the “Fate of Ophelia” hitmaker. She immediately contacted her cousin, whom she considered an expert on NFL players, to get details about Travis.
Andrea was sold by what she heard, especially Travis’ close relationship with his mother. Then came the hardest part: convincing Taylor to give the athlete a chance. Luckily, she managed to convince her daughter, and the rest is history.
