Javad Zarif: The main threat to the Middle East is Israel, not Iran | Israel-Iran conflict

Months after being attacked by the United States and Israel, Iran finds itself in the crosshairs again, with Israeli officials pressuring U.S. President Donald Trump to take on Tehran’s ballistic missiles.

Veteran Iranian diplomat Javad Zarif told host Steve Clemons that “everyone lost all faith in diplomacy” after Israel and the United States attacked Iran following five rounds of reconciliation talks between Washington and Tehran.

Zarif added that Israel has historically thwarted all opportunities for reconciliation between Iran and the United States, and that Trump’s diplomatic style is disastrous because it creates “negotiations that end in war.”
