Bachelor Nation Jade Roper shares how she and her husband Tanner TolbertBeau’s late son was included in a fake vacation photo.
“Was the holiday trend of Norman Rockwell and an extra boy our image, and it touched my heart because of course Beau would want to do the family photo,” Roper, 39, wrote via his Instagram Story on Saturday, December 27, referencing the trend of users asking ChatGPT to create a family portrait.
In the image, Roper posed for the camera with Tolbert, 38, and four children next to a festive Christmas tree. Three of the children looked like the couple’s children: daughter Emmy, 8 years old, and sons Brooks, 6 years old, and Reed, 5 years old.
In another Instagram Story, Roper shared her correspondence, in which she noted that “there should be two boys total and one girl.” In response, a message read: “Understood, thank you for your patience, and you were absolutely right to report this. »

While sharing the revised image without the third son, Roper noted, “But now it kind of looks empty.”
Roper — who met Tolbert on Bachelor in Paradise season 2, got married in 2016 – announced in 2023 that the couple was expecting their fourth child when she suffered a miscarriage.
“I’ve been struggling with what to write here as I dealt with a miscarriage,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “I felt like all my dreams were coming true: welcoming another baby into our lives, loving and completing our family. While our hearts are completely broken and we deal with the deep and complex grief of loss, we were lucky enough to be touched by his soul or his short time. I am forever changed.”
She continued, I am currently experiencing what is called a missed miscarriage, so even though his heart stopped and he stopped growing (for a while now), my body has not yet induced the pregnancy. I hope to do this naturally and trust the timing and my body under the care of my provider.
Roper noted that she carried the pregnancy “with so much pride and cherished every moment that was still left with a part of him,” adding that “it has also been just as difficult and devastating.”
“So while I hold my belly here, our sweet baby’s body rests in my womb as his soul flies away,” she concluded. “We love you with every piece of our heart, baby Beau.”
A few months later, Roper announced that Beau had been diagnosed with Down syndrome. While responding to an Instagram Story Q&A, Roper noted that it was possible that “her little heart wasn’t strong enough.”
“Many DS diagnoses are accompanied by congenital heart disease,” Roper added.
In September, Roper marked the anniversary of her miscarriage with a tribute to Beau.
“Two years since my D&C. Two years without you, my beau,” she wrote at the time via Instagram, referring to a dilation and curettage. (During the procedure, the cervix is dilated to remove tissue from inside the uterus and is used to treat miscarriages and end unwanted or dangerous pregnancies.)
“The grief is quieter now, but it’s still there, embedded in who I am,” Roper continued. “I remember the baby that I never got to hold in my arms, but that I always keep in my heart.”
