Mike Tomlin is once again under fire after the Pittsburgh Steelers (9-7) could not overcome difficulties Cleveland Browns (4-12) Sunday. The Steelers scored six points in the second quarter and then went quiet, while the Browns scored 10 in the first quarter and three in the fourth to seal the deal.
After a few weeks in which they played well and took the lead in the AFC North, they could lose the division title to the Baltimore Ravens in Week 18. It will be a win-or-go-home game for the Steelers against a strong opponent.
Thanks for the submission!
Following their six-point performance against the Browns, many fans called for the firing of Mike Tomlin on social media.

“FIRE MIKE TOMLIN,” another fan wrote 17 times.
“I don’t know why everyone is so shocked. Tomlin has already secured his .500 streak. 9-8 and out of the upcoming playoffs,” another fan said.
The criticism didn’t stop there, and some even questioned whether it was better for the Steelers to lose next week if it meant Tomlin would be gone.
"We had the classic Mike Tomlin special," a fan said.
“Rather the Steelers win next week, make the playoffs and lose in the first round, or the Steelers lose next week and Tomlin gets fired,” another fan said.
“Good job guys, Myles didn’t get the record!!!! We played for it instead of trying to win”, another fan said.
The Steelers are 9-7 heading into their Week 18 game. Aaron Rodgers went 21 of 39 for 168 yards. He was sacked twice and posted a 64.9 passer rating. Shedeur Sanders dominated the four-time NFL MVP, going 17 of 23 for 186 yards and a touchdown with two interceptions. He was also sacked twice and posted a 75.6 passer rating.
This isn’t the first time NFL fans have called for Tomlin to be fired. The coach acknowledged chants calling for his release earlier this month, agree with fans sentiment.
“In general, I agree with them from that point of view: Football is our game. We’re in the sports entertainment business, and so if you support the Steelers, entertaining them is winning and so when you don’t win, it’s not entertaining and if you’ve been in this business, you understand that.”
The Steelers could see major changes in 2026.
