Talk with PEOPLEBass, 46, said one NSYNC song that is generally “overlooked” is the 2000 hit “It Makes Me Ill.” The track appears on the group’s album “No Strings Attached,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and has since sold more than 12 million copies.
According to Bass, his love for “It Makes Me Ill” was so strong that he advocated for it to be one of the group’s singles; however, it was ultimately overshadowed by “I’ll Never Stop” and “This I Promise You”.
“‘It Makes Me Ill’ is, to this day, my favorite song outside of Christmas,” he told the publication, calling the single “awesome” and “fun.”

Bass also pointed out how the song is one of the group’s most popular among men. “Well, it’s funny because it’s like all the guys who like *NSYNC, I can tell you about 80 percent of the time, they’re like, ‘It makes me sick.’ It’s kind of our favorite song from our guys,” he said.

Elsewhere in the interview, Bass highlighted another underrated gem from the band’s discography: the acapella track “O Holy Night.”
He added: “It’s my favorite recording we’ve ever done – I did it. I love it because it takes us back to how we started in 1995. Just no music, just our voices, and that’s how we started. That one, I love.”
The holiday-themed track is from the band’s only Christmas album, “Home for Christmas.” It was released in November 1998 and also featured classics such as “The First Noel” and “The Christmas Song.”

Bass also took a moment to reflect about his time with the popular boy band, including some of their most memorable looks. And while there are a few that the singer looks back on fondly, there are several that he could have done without.
“It’s so funny, because living in the 90s, I always thought fashion was horrible. I just remember [thinking]’Really? Is this what we do? Even then I was like, ‘This doesn’t feel good,'” he said.
However, even Bass has noticed some ’90s trends making a comeback.
“Everything was so oversized and all that, but now it’s so funny that this style is back, and I appreciate it more now,” he said. “I’m like, ‘Okay, maybe that was pretty cool.’ Yes, I’ve grown to appreciate ’90s fashion, especially now, so I’m glad it’s back.”

Bass isn’t the only ’90s icon feeling nostalgic. In another interview, according to The explosionTyra Banks shared the ’90s trends she hopes will make a comeback in 2026.
“If I could bring back a trend from the 90s… [I’d] I love these tight collars, and they had…a little handle on them, and we made them with black yarn. Like a black ribbon,” she said, calling the look minimalist and approachable. “Please come back,” she continued. “Make it happen.”
While showing off retro looks, Banks is also promoting her new dessert business, “Smize & Dream”, located in Sydney, Australia. According to the company’s website, the product is described as a warm, sipping treat, similar to a creamy drink and sundae. “I never thought this would go viral. I never thought I would be in Mexico and at the opening of a new Cirque du Soleil show and be asked about it. So this is beyond my expectations, and now I have to live up to it,” she said.
