Below Deck’s Gael joked she’d be ‘worried’ about Nathan with his kids


Under the Mediterranean BridgeIt is Gael Cameron joked about not trusting Nathan Gallagher with her future children – before the couple got back together and welcomed their son.

During the Monday, December 29, episode of the hit Bravo series, Gael worked with Nathan on deck as he helped her wrap lines, to which she said, “Carry him like a baby. F***, I’d be really worried about you with my babies.”

Under the bridge viewers already know that in the months since filming season 10, Gael welcomed a baby with Nathan. They originally met a season prior, when their relationship got off to a rocky start as Gael was going through a breakup with an off-screen boyfriend.

The growing connection between Nathan and Gael led them to almost plugged off camera before production shuts them down.

“[The cameras] Wasn’t on my mind,” Nathan exclusively told Us every week in July 2024. “I had 10 tequilas down. I didn’t even know what a camera was exactly.”

Nathan added that he had “no game plan” when it came to his attraction to Gael, who was not single at the time. As season 9 drew to a close, Nathan and Gael seemed to be going strong.

“With Gael, everything happened incredibly quickly. We connected and we developed a very, very strong bond. Over time, we just went with the flow,” Nathan told We at the time. “I was going with the flow. I didn’t want to put too much pressure on him. I didn’t want to force us to meet in certain areas or at certain times. It was more about what was happening in the moment.”

Their romance ultimately ended after production wrapped. Gael and Nathan later reconciled and announced a surprise pregnancy. Their son was born in June and the couple stayed together while celebrating the milestone.

While Nathan and Gael found love off-screen, their brief separation was documented in season 10 of Under the Med Bridge. Their partner Aesha Scott previously defended the timeline from viewers who thought Nathan was cheating on Gael this season.

“He does a really good job of keeping everything he handles internally in his personal life,” she told Us in September. “You can’t really tell until he shares later. Obviously, they had a rough start. They had so much healing to do within themselves before they could fully commit to being with someone else. But they did the work. They came together and now they’re in such a good place. It’s honestly so beautiful to see them together.”

Joe Bradleyin the meantime, praised the bond between Nathan and Gael.

“At that moment, like when I just came home [on the show] — Nathan really had very strong feelings towards Gael. I just think it’s a blessing that they rekindled this relationship because it’s pure love what they have,” he shared with Us. “We could only wish, as a species, to find that level of love. It’s just a blessing and the fact that they have a baby, what a gift. I couldn’t be happier.
