Florida man sues Outback Steakhouse after toilet collapsed under him

A man from Florida filed a complaint against Outback Steakhouse, alleging he was on a handicapped toilet when the seat “suddenly broke and collapsed” while he was doing his business, resulting in injuries.

Michael Green said he suffered “severe bodily injuries” during the incident at an Outback Steakhouse restaurant along Southwest College Road in Ocala, according to the lawsuit.

The injuries include “a significant and permanent loss of an important bodily function” and a “loss of the ability to enjoy life,” Green claims in the suit.

The restaurant is accused of negligence and failing to ensure toilets were “properly secured to the floor,” according to the complaint.

Green also claimed the facility created “an excessively dangerous condition for members of the public.”

He is looking for $50,000 damage of the Australian and American steakhouse chain.

This is not the first incident of a toilet accident in the Sunshine State.
