Why Jennifer Lopez is still single one year after divorcing Ben Affleck

The former couple maintained a cordial relationship and were spotted hanging out together, sparking speculation that they could be working to repair broken ties.

However, a source shut down those claims, saying there was “no romantic reunion” between Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck, even though they were in a “good situation.”

Pop superstar Jennifer Lopez has yet to begin a new romance after her previous one with Ben Affleck ended almost a year ago.

The “Jenny From The Block” singer apparently isn’t ready to change that just yet, a source said. People Magazine that she concentrates on her work and raising her family.

“For her, it’s all about work and kids,” the source said of Lopez, who shares twins Max and Emme, 17, with ex-husband Marc Anthony. “She seems happy and content.”

Lopez married the Argo actor in an intimate wedding in July 2022, but filed for divorce in August 2024, citing “irreconcilable differences.”

At the time, they sparked massive speculation about the nature of their now-failed marriage, as they had gone months without being seen together in public.

Since their divorce, Lopez and Affleck have maintained a cordial relationship as they have been spotted on several occasions.

Over the holidays, the couple went Christmas shopping alongside the Oscar winner’s son, Samuel.

They also crossed paths at a recent play in which their children, Emme and Fin, were featured, and were spotted out to dinner months ago.

Most recently, the 53-year-old actor supported her at the New York premiere of her new film, “Kiss of the Spider Woman,” where he talked about her acting skills.

The frequent sightings sparked rumors that they were getting back together, but a source close to the “I Ain’t Your Mama” singer dispelled that rumor.

“There is no romantic reunion with Ben,” the source said. People. “They’re in a really good place. They continue to support each other. They’re both proud of what they’ve accomplished together.”

The source further added that Lopez is “doing well” and focusing “on the things that make her happy – family and work.”

“She’s always loved working with Ben; that hasn’t changed,” the source added.

In October, Lopez appeared on the “Howard Stern Show” and made shocking comments about her exes, explaining that she didn’t think she was ever truly loved.

On the show, host Stern asked her if she had ever “really been loved,” to which she replied, “No.”

“What I learned is not that I’m not lovable, it’s that they’re not capable. They don’t have it in them,” Lopez confessed, according to The explosion. “They gave me what they had. They gave me everything, every time. All the rings, everything I could want. The houses, the rings, the marriage. All of it.”

The “Maid In Manhattan” actress, who has been married four times in the past, then said she “didn’t like herself” in those relationships before confessing that her latest divorce from Affleck was “the best thing that ever happened to me.”
