Iranian Revolutionary Guard member reportedly killed during growing cost-of-living protests




A 21-year-old volunteer, member of Iran’s paramilitary Revolutionary Guards, was killed during protests against the deteriorating economic situation in the Islamic Republic, authorities announced Thursday. Iran’s civilian government has so far taken a conciliatory approach to protests initially led by traders, while warning demonstrators not to plunge the country into instability.
