According to a new report, the royal couple has already started meeting with agents, producers and even casting directors, with the Duchess of Sussex positioning herself for a directing role.

According to sources who spoke to Rob Shuter’s #ShutterscoopHarry and Meghan are actively developing a Diana film for streaming giant Netflix.
“They met with writers, agents and producers, revealed the story and discussed casting,” noted a close source. “Meghan is intensely involved and wants to be in control from start to finish.”
Despite the Sussexes’ previous projects struggling to perform on the platform, Netflix is reportedly playing the long game with the royal couple.
“Their previous shows have underperformed, but a Diana project changes everything,” a second source shared.
Netflix believes the film has blockbuster potential and has the depth and emotion to rival Harry and Meghan’s explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey.

According to DeadlineHarry and Meghan are also expected to produce a film adaptation of “The Wedding Date” for Netflix.
This romance novel is the first in a series of six books New York Times bestselling author Jasmine Guillory, and was published in 2018.
It follows the fun and flirty story of Alexa Monroe and Drew Nichols, two professionals who meet while stuck in an elevator. By chance, Alexa agrees to be Drew’s fake date at his ex-girlfriend’s wedding, which leads to a complicated and steamy relationship with him.
The project would see the pair serve as executive producers through their Archewell Productions arm, alongside film producer Tracy Ryerson, who also worked on the 2023 film “The Senior.”

This comes after Harry and Meghan signed their new watered-down first look deal with Netflix in August.
They reached a deal worth around $100 million, but reports suggest the contract will not be renewed at the end of this year.
They have produced other projects for the streaming giant, including “Polo,” “Heart of Invictus,” “Harry & Meghan,” and “Live to Lead.”
However, some of their recent efforts haven’t lived up to expectations, including the second season of Meghan’s “With Love, Meghan,” which failed to crack Netflix’s coveted top 10 shows.
The former “Suits” actress also hosted “With Love, Meghan: Holiday Celebration” on Dec. 3, but it failed to make the list.
“The Wedding Date” isn’t the only romance on their list. Their production company is reportedly developing an adaptation of Carley Fortune’s “Meet Me at the Lake.”
It is likely that their partnership with Netflix will continue, at least for the foreseeable future, as one source said. Page six in July, “more TV projects are coming soon with the Duke and Duchess.”

Hollywood experts believe Harry and Meghan’s celebrity power gradually declined five years after their move to the United States.
Since moving, they have made headlines for the countless controversies they have been involved in, including their clash with the royal family after meeting Oprah Winfrey and Harry’s explosive memoir “Spare.”
A source said People Magazine that they are still learning how to deal with the backlash that comes with being a public figure, with the insider adding that Meghan dismisses the criticism as “just noise,” while Harry takes it personally and remains protective of his wife.
“Their star power is fading,” said Kinsey Schofield, host of “Kinsey Schofield Unfiltered” on YouTube. Fox News Digital.
“It will frustrate them because they have suffered the dopamine hit of adoration. Their confidence in leaving the royal family was rooted in their perceived popularity. They will continue to put themselves forward because they need to make money, but Meghan’s business ambitions conflict with Harry’s desire to rebuild the royal bridges,” she continued.
“As long as she uses her title for commercial purposes, the royal family will keep its distance,” Schofield warned. “And as long as the family maintains this distance, Harry’s popularity will continue to suffer.”

Schofield added that Meghan “is being dishonest” by saying the backlash doesn’t affect her.
She faced constant criticism, ranging from her refusal to repair strained ties with her dying father, Thomas Markle, to some of her entrepreneurial activities.
“She often responds subtly to specific criticisms in interviews,” Schofield said. “She absolutely sees it. Meghan is the most eager to respond to every rumor or negative story. She made that clear during the Oprah interview.”
“Harry is the opposite,” she continued. “He was raised with the mantra ‘never complain, never explain’. The real difference is that Meghan doesn’t actively seek out negative comments, whereas Harry can’t help it. He reads it, searches for it and it hurts him. One of the reasons they campaign against social media is what they read there about themselves.”
