The Tennessee Attorney General’s Office is crack down on illegal online sweepstakes casinosas nearly 40 of them received formal cease and desist letters.
Attorney General Jonathan Skrmetti announcement Monday, December 29, that his office had succeeded in putting an end to the operations of several illegal online casinos in the state.
They say this action is part of ongoing efforts to protect local consumers from predatory and unregulated gaming operators. The Attorney General has sent formal notices, with all platforms receiving a letter having already disabled the illegal components or agreed to a date in the coming weeks to end their illegal services.

“The only thing you can be sure of with an online sweepstakes casino is that it’s going to take your money,” Attorney General Skrmetti said.
“They work hard to make these sweepstakes casinos appear legitimate, but ultimately, they are not. They avoid any oversight that could ensure honesty or fairness. Our office was happy to drive these shady operations out of Tennessee and will continue to work to protect Tennesseans of illegal gambling.”
