Lane Kiffin blasts College GameDay for choosing Georgia over Ole Miss ahead of CFP quarterfinals

Lane Kiffin’s former team, the Ole Miss Rebels, faces the Georgia Bulldogs in the CFP quarterfinals. The game will be featured on ESPN GameDay and the panel has chosen the favorite to win.

All five panel members picked Georgia to win. Lane Kiffin is not a fan.

“What are you guys thinking?!?!? @CollegeGameDay You haven’t watched 🇹🇹???” Kiffin wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Lane Kiffin spent six years at Ole Miss, culminating in earning a College Football Playoff berth. However, he accepted the position of head coach of the LSU Tigers at the end of the regular season.

Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter opted not to have Kiffin coach the Rebels in the playoffs. Pete Golding has accepted the job and is looking to pull off a surprise win over Kirby Smart’s Bulldogs.

Lane Kiffin will not be at the Sugar Bowl

Lane Kiffin will support the Ole Miss Rebels against the Georgia Bulldogs. However, he will not be at the stadium to support his former team in the most important match in its recent history.

According to Yahoo Sports, Kiffin chose not to attend the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. Instead, he’s looking to be there for an LSU women’s basketball game.

The report adds that Kiffin is expected to be in attendance for the LSU Tigers’ game against Kentucky on Thursday night. His absence ends ESPN’s goal of having him on the broadcast during the Ole Miss Rebels’ game with the Georgia Bulldogs.

Kiffin may not coach the Rebels, but he has lent his assistants to the program to coach in the College Football Playoff. They will return to their primary mission once the Rebels complete their playoff run.
