In a new YouTube videothe influencer kicked things off with a post office box drop before opening up about her break from social media. She told her followers that she needed some time to reset as she was “navigating a lot of things personally right now” and was focused on “protecting her peace.” Even with the break on deck, Gigi reassured her followers that she wasn’t gone for good and planned to return. She also thanked everyone in her caption for their love, support and understanding.

“Thank you so much for your continued love, patience and support – it really means more than you know. I’ll be back soon and I appreciate your understanding. Remember to take care of yourself too.”

As soon as Gigi posted her YouTube video, fans filled her comments section with love and encouragement. Many told her they would miss her but respected her choice to prioritize her mental health, while others said they would patiently wait for her return.

Kai Cenat and Gigi shock fans after announcing their split

Just days before the new year, Kai Cenat and Gabrielle Alayah shocked the internet by announcing their breakup. Kai first shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), telling his followers that it would be a long time before he fell in love again. “I’m single, I’ll never be in another relationship again” Kai wrote.

Gigi then took to her Instagram Story to shut down false narratives and assumptions about their split. Her post apparently came after rumors that she was involved with NBA YoungBoy while she was with Kai, but she quickly shut down all speculation.

“I’m gone, now you want to go on the internet and rush to paint a false narrative about me from a fake Twitter post, it’s crazy. I never cheated on him, and YOU know it. I’ve never dealt with this man…play that sympathetic role somewhere else, please,” she wrote online at the time.
